Very cool work here. I really like #1 too. My next favorite is the Little Lakes Valley shot, that is one of my favorite area's up there. I like the glowing light... but I think pulling more detail out of the tree's would help this shot.
In my admittedly more modern view, though, if one is using shorthand to reference the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains (plural) as I will claim in hindsight to have been doing, "Eastern Sierras" should be appropriate. The Appalachian Mountains are The Appalachians. The Andes. The Rockies. The Alps. The Adirondacks. The Catskills. And so on.
Where we agree is that there is only one Range of Light. Without a doubt, an amazing place.
Excellent work and thank you for the report! I especially like the first image with that beautiful lupine field and the nice colors in the sky. I don't know if I've seen your work on here before. So thank you sharing it.
Cool job on the little touchup on #3. I think it really now is a very enjoyable shot. Nice job on pulling just a bit more detail out of the tree's, but keeping it realistic.
