Took the Cadillac out for its first test drive this past weekend. The lens is on another level. Nothing special action wise, but there is no such thing as background distractions when when you are driving a 600 f/4 VR II.
So you're shooting from a building across the street? As if you weren't already deeply in the grill.... Just jealous, of course. Those backgrounds are pretty amazing, as is that last shot.
Hey Paul, excellent shots here! love the fill light and color! no need to critique perfection and I agree with that last photo! it almost looks surreal

Great stuff Paul. 4 and 10 are my favorites. Just out of curiosity, do you remember how far away you were for number 10? Is that cropped or as shot?
Thanks!!
Ryan
Ryan... I'm going to guess it's about 20 feet away and yes, straight out of camera...no crop. The hard part is making sure to thread the focus point through the grill and onto the lead eye. No room for error.

Hey Paul... good to see you posting again. I was crossfield at Moriches HS for one of these games shooting Riverhead who we have for T&I and I saw one of your photogs there.
That was on Sunday, we shoot the MYO leagues T&I and I had one of my guys there shooting some action on Sunday, only 3 games but it was a nice day! and a great place to shoot with all the trees around the fields. I'm sure our paths will cross at some point.
