The window/dress shot was *completely* different looking out of the camera. I shot it at f/2, so T 1.4 on the speedbooster, and it was really overexposed. With pictures that need some help, I usually hit the slot-machine I mean "auto" button in LR4 just to see what it'd do. That's what it did. It wasn't just sliding the exposure down either, it was fairly complicated. I'm going to have to go study it to learn some things
Sebboh, to be honest, I haven't really pixel PP it yet.(means compare at micro-contrast level) but from what I saw, I have no complain what so ever for its slow down performance.
I got the feeling that all 50mm prime lens are pretty good once slow down

there's a surprising number that have pretty crappy corners (even some expensive ones), but they're all super sharp over most of the frame.
And try to shot not so close - it will be interesting
Actually, Its close range rendering is the biggest reason I sought after this lens, at least for now I am sure I will give it full use over the range consider its price. I can't let it so easy rest on my shelf
Paul, seems around this amount, maybe $1300 with scratches. And better if the lens starts from 370xxxx. I heard a not positive reviews about 362xxxx-366xxxx

What problems have you heard with the earlier ones?

Someone just offered me the lens for $1400, but the front element has a couple of hair-like scratches, which doesn't affect pictures...
What is a fair market value for the lens in decent condition...?
Currently the cheapest 370xxxxxx elmarit 28mm on ebay is $1900 and one asking $2600.
I think that $1400 is not such a bad price, and if you can get it for less - that would be a sweet deal.
I paid considerably more for mine on ebay.
I thought, aside form updated coating that are to be expected, all possess the same optical formula. I have a 366xxxx and cannot detect a deficiency in rendering
