Here are 3 more taken with the 100mm f2.8 Macro Apo Elmarit with the Lumix G1; images taken of the underside of a fern in the Seattle Japanese Garden. The lens was close to wide open.
I am waiting for your picture with R lens and XE1 as I am personally very interested in Fuji X as my 2nd/3rd body. Have you think about Speedboost it?
One thing, I notice that almost all Leica R prime lens has a metal part stand out at lens back. Even most of them clear DSLR mirror, they will still be problem with SB. So I think most of them if not all need some surgery to be able to use on SB. Which I feel sorry that Metabone don't mention it in their website at all.

I finally have everything to start shooting with the X-E1 and my R lenses. Everything that is except for one of these software packages: Capture One 7 or Silkypix5. I do have both LR4.3 and Photoshop CS6. I have to decide which of the other 2 software packages to use. I have to figure out where to go to take some photos and will be out shortly. But, it has been cold and windy here in eastern Pennsylvania. As to the Speed Booster, I really had not thought much about using it. I hope something will come along as an acceptable FF camera body which will allow me to use my R lenses without changing the mount. I am hoping for a FF mirrorless body, but the M240 may not be the one for me.
I have been a silent spectator of the amazing photos contributed by so many talented photographers here. However, I am posting here to check on an issue as I couldn't find a solution . I got a Summilux-R 50mm (1971) on ebay for a good price. The owner has explicitly mentioned that she didn't have any idea about the lens and for that price, I thought it was worth the gamble. Received the lens today and the glass looks very clean and the focus is reasonably smooth too. However, the lens seems to be stuck wide open and turning the aperture ring has no affect on the lens. I did find a video on youtube with the exact same problem:
As you can see, if I set the aperture to f16 and set the lever, I can open it up. But, once wide open at f1.4, it does not seem to stop down. To me, it looks like a simple fix but not sure as to how I can go about it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you guys in advance .
Thanks for feedback. I posted this as a gif file as the colors showed better on this post than did the jpeg. Kind of strange as the gif image looks fine on my 17" MacBook Pro which I am using as we speak.
I am not proud of this image, but it is the first image that I have taken in difficult dusk/sunset light in January right down my street with my new Fuji X-E1 with the Leica 35-70 f4 Vario Elmar lens. ISO set to 200 and image processed from RAW file in LR4.3.
Rich, That image has additional potential. I have yet to use my reverse GND filter, but this is the type of shot I believe it would work well with. Sunsets are very challenging for me....yours turned out better than most of mine.

I know that I may have been able to process this better with either Silkypix5 or Capture One 7 for the Fuji cameras. I also have 2 and 3 stop reverse grads at my disposal. But, I hadn't expected to take any photos and I looked out both the rear and the front of the house and I saw what was a really spectacular sunset. I only had a few minutes to grab the camera and tripod. I had to find a suitable spot outside and position the tripod and camera and then make the adjustments. I only had time to take 7 shots and the light was fading fast. The first 3 images in fairly short succession had the best color and I then started to loose the color higher in the sky.
