#2 is awesome, what kind of lighting are you packing on your e-sessions? must have a pretty healthy amount of power based on this one.
#5 I really like how you used the placement of the letters in the shaded portion of the comp so that even though they're prominent your eye is still drawn to the couple first.
Love the set! but think the background is a little to busy in the first couple shots..but thats because you were strobbin...but other than that they look beautiful!
these could use some faster apertures IMHO. i personally find them really really busy. when you shoot at F16 nothing becomes the focal point...again personal taste.
Others have commented about the busy backgrounds and lack of subject isolation but I actually love the depth of field on this set. I sense a real connection between the couple and their environment, like the city is a mutual friend of theirs. It's also nice to see photographs of humans living in the real world rather than floating in a perpetually dreamy parallel bokeh universe.
I like On the subject isolation comments, there are other things to isolate a subject other than DOF. In this set, number 5 doesn't quite work for me since they get too much into the background. However others are fine since there is enough contrast between them and the background.
I actually think it's nice to see such a large DOF for a change, but I can't imagine that working in all other locations.
I'd say the amount of DOF was a good choice on the day, where most photos work really well and the couple are a bit lost in a few
