No, OM and M42 are different mounts. You need a M42 to 4/3 adapter.

thank you. and follow up, for the nikon D3 is there a preferred M42-nikon adaptor? oh and what about an OM to nikon adaptor? are there things to watch out for when purchasing these for the nikon?

M42 is a threaded mount that screws to the body. just about anything else is Bayonet type twist and lock mount.

I don't think OM or M42 adapters exist for the Nikon F mount, at least not ones that will focus to infinity. The Nikon mount is further from the sensor than OM or M42 and as such there's no room for an adapter between the lens and the body. Leica R may be possible for Nikon (I haven't seen one) but generally Leica R >Nikon is best when the lens mount is swapped (ie www.leitax.com).
