Very nice Scott, I like the textures of weathered siding (especially when I don't have to paint or maintain it )
My first inclination would be to say clone out the branches, but after looking for a moment, I think they add a touch of depth and a presence to the capture.

Here is a cropped version, plus CEP Darken/Lighten, Brilliance/Warmth, and Monday Morning.
Hi Scott, I like the bottom verticle boards in the original. I think I would crop a little off the top though. Also the toning in Bob's redo is very nice.....it brings out the textures nicely.

Y, CEP is Color Efex Pro, a Nik filter. Of course you can ask! Others can explain better the inter-relationship between Nikon's post-processing program and Nik filters, control points. I have Nik plug-ins for LR and am a Canon guy.

Yes CEP, for me, is a treat. Although everything done in CEP can be done with NX2's native tools, I could never hope to reverse-engineer those steps.

CEP integrates into NX2's interface/menu structure seamlessly to appear as a normal edit step selection. With CS3/4, CEP is a plugin that launches it's own session and when done, is applied as a layer in PS. And, can be applied as smart filter.
Additionally Nik has other plug-ins for PS, LR, PSP, and I think a Corel product. SilverEfexPro is one of the more popular. None come cheaply.
Nikon users (i.e. NX) are limited to CEP plus native U-Point technology (sold separately by Nik as a plugin - Viveza) - the baseline NX selection/adjustment tool. I have read that the underlying NX engine and Nik's engine have forked to the extent that incorporating later Nik products into NX would require a complete re-write of the NX engine (more than several NX users might suggest this would be a good thing - a 64-bit NX3 is on everyone's wishlist .

Thanks Guys! My DH bought me the Nik filters package for Valentines day. Siver Efex Pro, color Efex, Define, Viveza and sharpener. I am just learning how to use them. I have them added to Elements 8.
