I am curious what peoples experience is with Tumblr blogs? It seems like a lot of people are moving their Blogger and Wordpress blogs over to Tumblr. What is so great about it, it your opinion?

Tumblr is visual, not a traditional word based blog. Eating a tuna sandwich, then take a photo with your cell phone and e-mail the shot to tumblr.

Here are some people who are doing it right:

Terry Richardson www.terrysdiary.com often NSFW. A well paid fashion editorial/advertising shooter that people love to hate.

Purple Magazine www.purple-diary.com often NSFW. A French fashion mag.

Noah Kalina http://blog.noahkalina.com/ A photographer

Bernstein & Andriuilli http://bareps.tumblr.com/ Artists reps.

Many fans re-blog things from your site (AKA copyright violation), but they also re-blog from Wordpress sites too. Good advertising if you ain't worried about losing a $5.00 sale

Many fashionistas like to re-blog. Most are NSFW !

Might want to consider Posterous as well. Makes for easy on the run posting, you can do it very nicely from your iPhone. : )

I must be feeling kinda feisty tonight as I reviewed all of the tumblr sites above.
Am I the only one that is underwhelmed by the photography displayed on these sites?
