I formatted my hard drive and re-installed CS4.... I cannot find Adobe Gamma anywhere.... Help please....

Steve,

Adobe Gamma is probably the worst monitor calibrator you can use, probably why it's not include in CS4. If you're serious about your photography, you should consider hardware and program like the Spyder3, there are a few other good ones.

Totally agree!
While Adobe Gamma served me ok 10 years ago, I have been using Spyders for a long time and there is quite the difference for sure. Your prints will probably be better also.

Adobe Gamma was just sorta okay for CRTs but since most have switched over to LCD, it's completely inadequate and Adobe dropped it from the install disk.

If you are on WIN7 , there is a similar tool under the colormanagement tab in control panel.

and if you're on a Mac there's the built in Colorsync eyeball calibrator as well as several free options online but that doesn't mean you should actually use them or expect them to work even at a level of mediocrity. But they are free...
