p.1 #1 · question: las vegas night view location

i will be going to LV in couple of weeks and was wondering where's a good place to take a picture of the LV night view. I will be going to the top of the stratosphere for the rides. can i bring a tripod with me? or should I take a gorilla pod? btw, are there lockers on the top of stratosphere to put my stuff?

The Eiffel Tower at Paris is an awesome place. You cant really use a tripod up there because you have to shoot through small rectangles cut out in the pretective fence to keep you from jumping off. Its a great central spot on the strip. Look forward to seeing your pics - Vegas looks great at night!

There is a walkway over the street at the MGM and New York, New York that gives a fairly decent view down the street. Lots of good lights. Good shots can be had down on Fremont St also. Hell, just about anywhere along the street has some great shots at night.

When I went to the stratosphere 2 years ago you weren't allowed to bring tripods up wit you.I forgot mind and when I got there I was glad I did. I did get some good hand held shots. Those rides up there are sick.It also has a glass floor, that was scary to me.
