hi,
after a long time on party again!

what lens would u suggest?

17,24,35,40,45,90,135, ....

but no zoom.

When i shoot parties, I use 24/2, 35/1.4, 58/1.2 and 85 1.4

Any fast prime will do...
Cheapish and good: Tamron 17/3.5 (no fast option), Zuiko 28/2, Rokkor 58/1.2, Canon 135L
If you're in a budget, replace Rokkor and Canon 135 with Zuiko 55/1.2 and Samyang 85/1.4
If you want to spend loads of money, add a Distagon 35/1.4 and/or 24L II

And let's see if Samyang 35/1.2 is good.

Nikkor, Nikkor, Rokkor, Nikkor is my bet ;-)

From my collection
28/2, and 85/1.4

Less lenses the better, one wide and one for head/shoulders with a slight bit of compression. So 28-35 and 70-100 range lenses, IMO. Big aperture so no flash is necessary and it throws the usual ugly background into a mush of sorts. Sharpness is highly tertiary, as everyone's going to remember the party a little bit fuzzy anyhow

135 Soft Focus dial it up to maximum. That way all the images will reflect how the blurry eyed drinkers saw it.

and only one lens.

i think i will take my 24/2,8 or 28/2,8
my 28/2 rokkor is not converted.

maybe my LX3 but high iso is difficult....

I use my tokina 11-16 2.8, canon 35 1.4 and pentax 50 1.2 for low light events.
Canon 100 2.8 L IS for a tele.
