Not quite sure why people wait in line for shake shack... Burgers are gross... Let alone sit outside and eat them... Despite the weather these folks waited in line for a while..
OMFG... This comment only reflects the first image.
Don't get me wrong, I love all of them, but the first one is breath taking. Wow! It's like looking at a 1920's issue of Time. If that Armani Exchange bag wasn't in there, it would be flawless. I'm in love.
I'm jealous and for the time being, you're my hero.
Reminds me of when I lived in NYC and it snowed and the fun of walking around the parks.
I like seeing your Street photography posted here in this forum. Keep it up.
Also, I like your use of captions too. Please continue.
In these photos I liked seeing the figures with the trees in the background. The trees with the snow on the branches are pretty and provide a good scene.
You dare anger the Gods of Shake Shack!?!?!?! (I will admit Paul's Burger Joint on 2nd Ave is much better, plus you've got Pomme Frittes for your after burger fries a few doors down, but Shake Shack is far from gross sir. =)
#1 is very nice. Crisp focus and taken to show enough of the background, but not enough to clutter the shot.
#3 would have been equally as good, but she looks to be a bit out of focus and a bit dark. I do like the image though.
Steadyhand, thanks. I don't do much paid portraiture anymore so these are my only people shots outside daughter and friends.
Monoatomic72. . I have had it twice, they are right by my clients office. Can't honestly see what The lines are for. Tastes like white castle to me. Paul's on the other hand is my second favorite used to live near there. On 53 between 6 and 7 is a Korean deli that makes a. Juicy consistent bacon cheddar Burger. And their fries are good too.
Yeah I think I missed focus a bit on her. Thanks for looking
Hey!!! I used to be a Chef at Tabla - (Who's owners also own Shake shack)
I've actually never eaten at shake shack. Sorry to hear you don't like it, the owner (Danny Meyer) is famous for working his @$$ To make his customers happy.
Thanks Flinster... Certain times of the day cabs are hard to obtain because of all the people who commute.... On days that snow & rain people, who kno normally walk home cab as well... supply & demand.
Just wondering if you have a picture of the street without the guy looking for the taxi (picture #1). The background with the fog/haze gives the picture a very nostalgic look. It reminds me of some of Johann Berthelsen's paintings of NYC in the winter.
