I agreed to meet with Alan Lichty yesterday morning at Kaloloch Lodge. He had come north from Vancouver WA on Sunday. On my way, I couldn't resist a quick stop and shoot at the west end of Lake Crescent. Alan has about 700 or so beach images to choose from, but I won't step on his toes with these. There was very nice light, and a bit of low clouds to spice up the view. About 30 minutes earlier, and I might have had a few more keepers. The first one is to set the stage with some eerie reflected light.

Hi Tim, I really love low clouds rolling through mountains, nice touch with the bright reflected clouds in 1 and 3. The series sets a nice mood. I hope you enjoyed the day, looks like it was nice. Rick

Beautiful conditions, Tim. Good job you did stop there. I like the low clouds. 2 I think is my favourite by a small margin.

The first and second are so beautiful, Tim. I love the colors in them - a very different color temp in these.

Nice calming captures in this set. I've stopped in the area before but haven't had the atmosphere you caught in these. But, it was nice and quiet as these portay. Well done, Tim

Beautiful Tim - esp the first one. That has some great colors and the clouds are pretty neat. I like the last one too. Nicer than the colors we got out at Ruby Monday night.

Don't worry about stepping on my toes with the beach images - the stash I got is going to keep me busy and posting for a while to come

Ah, man, Tim! You really rattled loose some memories with your intro and shots here.
I grew up vacationing at Kalaloch. In my more enthusiastic bicycling days, I twice made the bicycle trip from Spokane to Kalaloch. That third shot really hit me with strong memories of riding around Lake Crescent. Tight shoulders and lots of logging trucks, but beauty galore!
What great shots, Tim! Thanks for the memories!
