I like the first one for the shimmer and the second one for something else but I can't put my finger on it. Shot with a 50D and 18-55 kit lens. I think this would be considered macro, although I have seen far smaller things in this forum.
I should have shifted the focus point down on the first one. I had a really cheap table top tripod designed for a p&s trying to hold my 50D. Not much adjustment in height thus the oof in the lower left.
