I thought I would update you on the progress. The progress slowed down a little due to the ice last week. I now have a porch over the front door since this picture was taken. Under all the ice is bright red mud from all the trucks.
I'm hoping to have the siding installed this week and the deck finished. I have two appointments to meet brides and would like to have steps to get inside the Chapel. I can't believe they just broke ground the first week of Jan. Completion date is the first to mid-March.
It's hard to explain the feeling when you walk inside of something that's your own. It's also a good feeling when you know you will make the rules when it comes to photography! I can't wait until it's finished.
that's awesome....I've always said if I won the lottery I'd love to put together a superb wedding facility...evrything from chapels/halls/gardens/woodlands/stream/suites etc... and design it with all vendors in mind!!!
That's absolutely awesome. So amazing to see a dream to go from an idea in your mind to actually existing. Best of luck, i hope the rest of construction goes smoothly!

Wow; very nice. When is the grand opening?
Ah, you're close enough to come too. I'm shooting for the end of March, or the first week of April. It will have to be on a Thursday. Doing it as a drop in, but wanting to do the ribbon cutting at 4:00. I hope to get the newspaper out to get some coverage. Waiting on the contractor to give me the finish date.

Looks great Yvette. Giant front facing windows will sure help for the photos. Any side facing windows?
No windows anywhere except the ceiling and the front. I have wall sconces that are controled by a dimmer switch. Same for the overhead lights. Almost white walls and white ceiling. I wanted to control the lighting as much as possible.

Wow. Front AND ceiling light? Will definitely result in gorgeous photos how lucky for all the photographers who come by your chapel!

There are two 33" x 55" skylights positioned over the bride and groom. There are also 4 overhead cam lights (eyeballs) that are controled by dimmer switches.
Congratulations! There's an abandoned church right behind my building, and I've often thought it would be wonderful to renovate it and make it available to couples.
