p.1 #1 · Anyone in MD want to shoot my kids Bat Mitzvah?
How odd for me to be looking for a Mitzvah photographer as that's what I do.
This is one hour shoot at the temple on a weekday (usually at 7pm) shooting formals and then probably 4-5 hours of reception on the Saturday. This is in April next year. You have to have liability insurance to shoot in the temple. They require a copy of your policy. I can certainly guide you non-mitzvah guys what to expect in terms of key shots to get (you know, the slaughter of the cow, etc :-D).
As you might expect from a fellow FM'r, all I want is your raw files. Feel free to dump the OOFs. To save me the cooties, I would appreciate it if you shoot canon. I would imagine anyone reading this who earns a living as a full time wedding photographer is not interested. That's understandable.
Its a year off, but if you are in the area (probably Gaithersburg) and have some sort of portfolio and want to shoot a Mitzvah, let me know by PM. Also if you want to second shoot a few, we can talk about that too.

are craigslist folks really that bad?
... well we do make fun of them here.
I have looked at some portfolios when they link to them. Some are actually OK. Are they their pictures? Are they the 1% that came out OK? Will they be around in a year? I dunno.
I am certainly willing to entertain the notion of a CL photog for $1K, but I imagine there are people who are not full time pros here on FM that might appreciate the cash and experience.

Well, if you're looking to "underpay" someone as your original post said, the Craigslist is probably your best option.
I'm actually horrified that a fellow photographer would write that they're looking to underpay another photographer.
That was intended as a joke. it wasn't intended to be taken seriously. The fact that you appear to have taken a literal read of it and others might too was the reason I edited the post. Sheesh.

Oh I see... you were just kidding. Is this a joke, too? Why not pay a little bit more for a professional for peace of mind?
I was horrified and I don't horrify easily. Except that one time I accidentally saw my grandmother naked.

Inku, it would do you some good to lighten up. I have seen your grandmother naked lots of times and I have never been horrified.
Anyway... I'm pretty "light" and laid back. I just thought maybe you'd like to know why people might not be responding to your post. I know that when I first read it, I was like, "Oh brother..."
You may have been joking, but I'm sure not a lot of people on here know you well or personally, so they may not have read it that way.
I'll sell you some naked pictures of my other grandma since you're into that sort of thing. She's 80, but looks like she's 60. You know, us Asians age well.
Oh, and since you probably can't tell - I'm just joking.

I can keep going, but I would rather just wake up and realize it was a bad dream. I am wondering if Inku took these alleged pictures or did he hire Francois from the People forum?
Honestly unless it quits snowing here in MD, I am going to go crazy.

Horrifyingly aromatic? I thought they were just silent, but I guess they were silent AND deadly.
