Snapped a pic of my daughter looking out the window. I did some Vignette and increased the darks to get the low key look. Maybe too much?

The light is superb and processing just right. Try cropping the bottom third of the image to remove the skirt (or whatever she is wearing), clone out or burn what is growing out of her back, burn the skirt in front, all that to keep the attention (and light) on her face and lovely expression. Lot of snow outside?

It's a lovely image. I don't think the vignette is too much. Try burning down the rug a little and perhaps do some selective softening on it so the texture isn't distracting. If there's some detail in her hair in the back, you might want to lighten it just a smidge. These are just nits and my opinion. The photo is fine as it is.
