I believe it is.

If pricing stays the same though and you don't have lightroom at all then the options are:

Wait for lightroom 3.

Buy lightroom three for $299

or

Buy Lightroom 2 now for $149.

Get to use Lightroom 2 while you wait for LR3 to come out of beta and be released

Upgrade to Lightroom 3 for $99

Doing it this way you get LR3 for $249 instead of $299

....

Of course this is only if Adobe keeps the prices for new/upgrade as is.

oh 20 minutes left on the deal.

Thanks for the reply! I am going to wait for LR3 though. Apparently it rendering engine is much faster? And LR2 catalogs won't work with LR3.

They do, you can just import them.

Thanks! Good to know. The preview on Luminous Landscapes had said that their alpha/beta copy did not.

Well unless there is a work around you can't import or open LR 2 with LR 3 Beta. RTM will allow catalog conversions.
