p.1 #1 · Document holders

Hey everyone,

Looking for a bit of help, I've got the names and addresses of >100 brides who want info and I'm about to direct mail to them, I've got a nice folio made up and copies of all my pricelists printed up to put in there, I'm just looking for some way to hold them all together, the largest piece is around 7"x5".

What I'm looking for is some kind of A4 card, folded down the long side to make effectively an A5 'greetings card' type thing but with a little flap at the bottom on the inside to hold all the documents, the problem is that I have absolutely no idea how to translate that into a google search, I've tried things like "A5 document holder" etc etc but all I get is either the clear plastic folders to go into ring binders (too cheap) or massive customised plastic things for about $6 each which are both too expensive and too bulky to be of any use.

I simply can't believe that someone doesn't do something like this, whether it be either just a plain generic white one, or I'd even be happy paying more to customise it with my logo, but I just want a nice, simple, A5 card thing to hold some loose bits together.

Can someone help me regain my sanity and point out where my searching is going wrong?

If you look at Rice Studio Supply http://www.ricestudiosupplies.com/ they have a Portrait Case that I think is what you are talking about. They are a US company but feel pretty sure they can help you out. Here is the actual link for the portrait case http://www.ricestudiosupplies.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&zenid=2d0e23897cbe647941895284b84a95fd

Hi jamphan,

That would probably work but it doesn't even need to be that elaborate, I'm not mailing out prints, just printed marketing materials on card.

Thanks

Hmmmm....finally stumbled across the seemingly ONLY place in the UK which does it, and they only do A4 size

This is what I'm talking about -

Anyone know anywhere that does A5 (or similar) size?

That's the first thing I could find, try using presentation folders or file folders with pockets for Google searches. We sell stuff like this to doctors at my day job, custom sizes can be very pricey, especially at small quantities.

look at http://www.envelopemall.com/ - it's where i bought a lot of supplies while planning my own wedding. i still use them for some specialty packaging. fast, reasonably priced, great selection, great customer service. they screwed up my order once (nothing major, wrong shade) and i had the replacement the next day and they told me to just keep the screw-up.

Do you need them printed or are you just looking for something to hold the materials? The link I provided is for printed folders which will be expensive at low quantities, since they have to set up for printing the cost difference between 50 and 100 folders won't be that different. You can get significant price breaks at large quantities but I doubt that's practical for what you have in mind. I also didn't spend a lot of time looking for the best price, I spent less than 30 seconds on that search. If you just need something to hold them in you could check your local office supply stores for a plain file jacket and use an adhesive pocket on the inside, you can get pockets in basically any size you can imagine.
