One of the favorite things about my history here at FM is the great friends that I have made. Starting with Max, Craig, and Rob, then Mike, Tom, and Dan, I've had many opportunities to shoot with and learn from some very talented folks.

Last Thursday Tom Duffy, Michael Foo, and myself shot the CSUF Titans at Long Beach State men's hoop matchup. The game played in the Pyramid was a standing room only overtime thriller. Mike and I regularly cover the Titans at Titan Gym where we have strobes so this was a chance to see what we could do with ambient light. The lighting ranges from 1/640th F2.8 @1600 iso to 2500 iso.

Mike loaned me his D3 for the second half to shoot with my newly acquired 70-200 VR version 1. That gave me the chance to compare the performance of the MK3 to the D3. Also shot the MK2n.I am considering switching completely to D3's.

All images were shot JPG and processed without noiseware. Exif in tact.

Really great shots you captured Bryan! Wish I could have covered the men's game, next one for sure. I really like #8 and #10. Here are image to the women's basketball game that you missed. I wish I could have used your lights.

Thanks for sharing Bryan. I love these sorts of posts where there is a nice variety of shots, including 'human interest' ones, across the set; and some background/context too. Nice to see the source-cameras labelled also. I really like numbers 1, 3, 8 & 11.
