I have been searching for a G1 and every time I search B&S all I see is GF-1's. Are people not liking these or are people just in love with the G1? Just wondering. I will find a G1 but I didn't think it would be this hard. Also the GF-1's seem to be going at a discount Maybe I am wrong on that, dunno.
I also think that there is a bit of turnover from those who jump on the newest thing and then decide either they did not like it or want something else newer. Take any new camera and you see this. One to two months after they are out in any numbers there is an increase in listings on the B&S. Saw it with the Canon 7D, will see it with others. When they are still in demand people try them and then turn them over with minimal loss due to demand.
I sold mine because I wanted the EP-2.. I did see on DPreview that as CPWarner said since the 20mm is hard to get people were buying the kits just for the lens.
I sold mine because I already have Canon and Pentax so a third system with endless lens choices is really hard on my bank account. I didn't care too much for the 2X crop factor for wide lenses and the lack of an EVF. Plus I need money for my tattoo.

I certainly understand the multiple systems, but there is an EVF for the GF1. As to wide angle lenses, the Panasonic 7-14 is very good and the new Olympus is comming out soon.
I think the thing that is a problem for m4/3 is that the lenses are rather expensive. If one compares this to a 1.6x crop sensor dslr, there is a larger selection of lenses and lower cost ones on top of that. The lenses for m4/3 are actually quite good from what I can see with mine.
I have two systems, full frame Canon and m4/3. For me the m4/3 replaced a G9. I am very happy with it so far.
OK, the 20,, lens makes sense to get if you can't get it alone. I am looking to replace my G9 with a G1 as well and hope to find one soon. The G9 is still a nice pocket camera though. I am leaning more G1 than Gf1. But I may have to go to the stores and feel them both again.....Thanks, John
