From November, 2008, with Martin and Carlo.
This is a completely, from scratch, re-work of one I had posted here, long ago. And no....I won't put it up again! I've never been very happy with it, and finally got around to doing it again. Don't know what I was thinking the first time!
This was a dream come true to see, as one of my still favorite images was done by our DV-Dimitri, from a very similar vantage point.
An afternoon view from Mellon Udrigle toward An Tealloch, some 13 miles away. It was a wonderful day, after the blowing sleet and rain in the morning.
I do hope you enjoy this.
Thanks for looking, and any c&c is welcome.
Very cool love the comp and the stacks of rocks on top of each other even if it was done by humanoids . Looks like such a peaceful and tranquil setting, glad you were able to rework the image to your liking I know it sure is to my liking, great job here Barry
Very nice Barry - I am not sure I ever saw the original post of this scene so I can only judge what I am seeing right now and I like it. Very nice depth and detail to the whole scene with a easy to look at comp.
Thank you all so much! It always means a great deal to me. Sharon, if I ever get back to the UK, this place will definitely be on the itinerary!! Wonderful area - Wester Ross!!
Those stacks are everywhere there are loose stones laying around. I've even seen them on the OlyPen!! I guess Druids travel, too. Jim, thanks! It's good to know my millions are safe! Klaus, thank you. If memory serves, the largest stones in the stacks may be about 14-16" diameter or so.
Thanks again, everyone!
This is a beauty Barry. It has a wonderful foreground, mid-ground and background with lots of eye candy in each to enjoy. Your composition also flows very nicely.
Beautiful view Barry, it looks like a place with an endless number of possibilities. Those stacks are everywhere there are loose stones laying around. I've even seen them on the OlyPen!! I guess Druids travel, too.
They do get around too, I've seen the exact same thing on top of Mt. Desert in Acadia.
Many thanks, fellas. I appreciate all your kind words.
Morris and Karl, thank you! Mike, I don't doubt it!!
Great to hear from you Al! Thanks!! Rob, it wasn't me, I promise!!
This place looks familiar to me, I probably saw your 1st post. I don't recall it being anything bad, so I'm sure it shouldn't embarrass you too much. This is a nice good shot. I kind-of wish you were a little closer to one of the cairns to make a stronger/larger FG subject.
