These are my Snow Doggies - The little one is Loki (The white one) He is a true blue mutt - Mostly spaniel we think, and he weighs about 75lbs less than my Big boy - Doc.
Doc is 50% Black Lab and 50% Rotty. The both LOVE the snow.
Loki is twice as fast as Doc, and Doc is twice as heavy as Loki - it always makes for an interesting match
I rented what is supposed to be one of the top of line line Nikon Lens's Nikkor 14-24 2.8
I am going to go take some Maternity shots with it this evening, but thought I would throw it on for some snow time (nothing like taking a $2k lens out in the snow!!!)
Its hard to base its performance on these shots - suffice it to say its a lot faster than I was expecting.
Anyway!!! Lucis Art filters applied to almost all of them.
Anyone want a challenge? Try exposing a Pure black dog, a black and white dog, and SNOW!!!
2A is my favorite. I like to looks on their faces and the look that they are chasing each other in deep snow. Most of the others have too much vignetting for me, but that's just me.

Some nice shots. Our dog (all black also) loves the snow. At the same time, 30 inches of the stuff is not so fun for her (that's about 5 times her height) -- she thinks her yard has vanished!
I agree. 1a and 2a are my favorites as well. I'm sort of partial to the vignetting myself - but trust me, it's WAY to busy without it. I couldn't make my eyes pick out the dogs right away. So there it is.
The first 6 were just snaps. I started getting serious for the second bunch (I took them out for a second time after I made my first post)
on 1A and 2A I whited out all of the background - I might do that for some of the others that I like, but cant seem to draw the attention to the dogs - maybe that will enable me to drop the vignette.
We'll see. I'll rework some. After I do these maternity photo's I just took!!
2a is great. I'm not a fan of the vignetting on the others but I like the look of the photos otherwise, how much effect does that filter have? (I'm not familiar with it)
I love 2A! Also like the effects of that filter in moderation. Wouldn't work for every image, but it would be a nice tool to have for certain shots I play with.

It comes as a set with a few others. I use the "Exposure" filter quite a bit. Sculpture tends to be a bit heavy - but it worked well here.
I agree that it worked well for this set. Especially on the lighter colored dog's coat. I just didn't dig the vignette in the other shots.
