I really liked both in B&W. Even more with the subtle colors revealed here.
My vote, however, is for the second shot.

I enjoyed viewing them both and each has a characteristic I really like...mood, contrast and isolation. I would lean towards the 2nd image as my favorite of the two.

Hi, Klaus. Love the soft hues you captured in both. And, I really like the added contrast of the snow in the first. But, the sky in the second wins the prize for me.
