Good focus and details on the eyes. Light is a little harsh.

Good focus, good detail. Did you pump contrast and saturation by any chance? I can see halos around some parts of the Hover. Oops, I just noticed you stacked this from 2 shots. Did you stack manually, or using software like CombineZM etc? Pretty good effort for a stack, it's not easy to do, even if LordV makes it look easy. Perhaps what I'm seeing is where you've cloned some problem areas. Lighting is a little bit harsh, what are you using for diffusion? What flash are you using, and also camera?

Yea stacked from two images. I have noticed that the eye detail mid way down is not in focus, a pity.

Also regarding post process I tend to use a slight s-curve within curves to make the image pop out, saturation is probably a result of exporting with slight clarity, vibrance and sauration increases from within PS RAW, tend to always pump it a little.

Diffusion is using a setup like Lord Vs but this shot was early morning and had the flash output set to -1/3 I think. The position of the flash diffusion "box" was to the right of the lens but quite close to the subject, not sure if the distance of the flash makes a difference.

Distance of flash to subject does make a difference. You're definitely doing good well.

good composition, agree on the light.
its best to slightly underexpose all the time and correct in raw
have you tried the "recovery" slider, reduces the highlights quite well.
