Hey guys! I'm curious to see your best 400mm shots! It can be taken with any lens (80-400VR, 400/2.8, 70-200/2.8 + TC20e I/II/III, 300/2.8 + TC-14e I/II, Sigma "Bigma" or 150-500, Tamron 200-500, etc), and it can be shots of any subject, just as long as the focal length is about 400mm.

So bust out the big glass and show the Nikon community your best!

Same here... I'm trying to decide if I want to invest the $500 in the TC-20eIII for my 70-200/2.8 VR-1. Right now, I'm leaning towards a yes. lol

Wipe outs when you can see the eyes (oh S**T) this one was like watching slow motion and scared me because his hand stayed on the throttle through the whole thing (he was fine, first one in to check out the images)

I also love panning long lenses so I cant make up my mind of what type to pick

all with 400mm 2.8 AFS and D2x (still prefer the D2x over my D3 for motorsports)

I had a guy do that but he ended up sitting on the track with his hand still on the throttle and the bike literally did a circle around him...it was pretty funny to watch.

here's two of mine...I didn't shoot much at 400mm this year...here's two of my favorites.
