Don't know if this qualifies as "being in the elements", but here's a Canon 40D at Salisbury Plains, South Georgia with wireless remote. And while I normally don't shoot with a filter, I did put one in case it got "slime'd" - see picture #3 ;-)

CAREFUL!!!! Don't leave the car door open and expose your camera to dangerous elements like that! Just think of what could get in there.... humidity, dust, maybe some ladybugs? It gives me chills
