I would recommend replacing your 50L with the ZE 50 MP unless you need the speed and shallow DOF of the 50L.
I have three 50's right now, ZE 50/2 MP, contax N 50/1.4, and Rokkor 58/1.2.
I recommend renting a ZE 50 MP and seeing for yourself whether you want to replace the 50L.
I don't think your 50L has a chance against the ZE 50/2 MP.

BTW, after seeing your excellent Italy trip shots with the 35 and 21, I was thinking how much better shots posted here in the alt forum with Zeiss lenses are compared to those few lousy example shots on the Zeiss website.

My feelings too. Unfortunately, the Zeiss website seems to have little going on.
