Mamiya RB 67 +127mm lens. Haven't started using it yet, since we're still desperately trying to move out. Thinking of returning my other gifts since we need the money more than the stuff.

Nice Deb!!!
Does it take 120 roll film or something bigger?
I would love to get into Medium format film.
Do you know if it takes a digital back? That would be ace... not something you need to get into right away (I think that digi backs for those Medium format cameras start at over $5k used), but something to look into for the future.... can we say 80x100 gallery wraps? .
What I really got for Christmas that I really enjoyed was that I got to spend it with my wife, delicious kids, my sister, dad and mom... plus we had dinner at awesome cousins' home.
The point about the gifts being VERY secondary was unfortunately driven home on the (short) drive to our cousins' ... we recently got one of those Garmin GPS with traffic info and I'm still having way too much fun with it even when I totally don't need it.
Anyway... as we got on the highway I noticed that the highway had been marked RED (which indicates heavy traffic) just a mile up ahead. The northbound lanes were clear and so were the southbound ones so I figured it was wrong.
Unfortunately as we went around a curve I saw that the southbound lanes were all blocked, an ocean of cars sitting still.. and in front of this silent ocean of cars, horror of horrors an ambulance which had obviously rolled a few times was lying upside down surrounded by police cars.
What a horrible site. As we drove by I felt my heart being squeezed like by a metal mesh and my throat got dry. I couldn't think about anything other than the people inside that ambulance and their families. I couldn't but immagine that if the ambulance were carrying a patient, there would be heroes in there, working, not strapped in by seat belts who would have gone through everything that ambulance went through.
I refused to watch the news, or read anything dealing with local news for the next few days so that I could convince myself that my own beliefs nonwithstanding, a miracle had taken place inside that ambulance and everyone involved had had a chance to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones.
Imac 27", still waiting to open it as I am in another state for the holidays.
I got my husband a neat point and shoot, (he does not like me shooting at any time), now everywhere we go, that camera comes out a few times, so I guess that's a present for me, I can take my camera along too

Totally forgot to subscribe to this thread!
it has a Pro-S back for 120 film. I have only one roll of film, so I need to try it out! I'm not sure if it will take a digital back (I'm thinking Yes), but I'm looking forward to investing in Polaroid ;-) Can't wait to use it! I think the light meter cost more than the camera. It was a great deal...

So sad to hear about that accident. That's the east coast for you. Man, I'm not sure if I want to see what went on. I enjoyed seeing family - it's important for us to remember that.
PS
I've rolled my car multiple times with no injuries AT ALL. So let's pray that that's the case with the ambulance as well.

My Mom bought me my first flash... the Sigma 530 DG Super... it may not be a 580EX but for a newbie like me it certainly does a decent job.
Also she bought me a little Manfrotto 5' BH Tripod.
Someone did some research it seems.
The Sigma is a nice flash. I have two of them. They do a decent job of E-TTL and the master/slave setup works pretty good too.
I've only had a little bit of time to play with it so far but I do like it. I do find that it seems to have issues with proper when my XSi is set to Av... Tv doesn't seem to have the same issue. I mostly shot the whole day on Manual for best results (bouncing most of the time anyways)
