p.1 #1 · Canon 16-35mm Alternative

I shoot interiors on a regular basis and have been using a Canon ef 16-35mm zoom, I would have to say its marginal at best. I would like to find something sharper. I am looking for something fixed focal length in the 14-18mm range I don't care who makes it, I don't need autofocus, I just need a good quality lens that I can mount on a full frame EOS body.I don't know alot about older lenses that can be mounted on EOS bodies so I'm posting here. Can I mount an older Olympus or Minolta lens on an EOS body, are there adapters available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yakim said it. Canon has heard your prayers and responded.

Olympus and OM and Zeiss Contax and both have excellent 18's that would fit with an adapter. Some of the Contax lenses won't clear the mirror of a full-frame camera when focused at infinity, so you want to check one of the compatability charts before going that route.

For architecture work, the TS-E 17/4 is the "one and only"!
No alternatives in 35mm yet for this baby.
My copy rocks on my 1ds3.
