I just figured out this morning how to add vignetting to my photos. I use GIMP for my post processing and they have a Vignette plug in that I found this morning. Am I using this correct or is it too dramatic? Is there a guideline or is it basically up to the photographer? With this shot I traced an outline around the car with Free Select instead of using the elliptical tool. Should I only use the elliptical or is the technique I used ok? Thanks a lot for any input!

This time I used the elliptical tool. Does this work even though he isn't centered in the frame?
