I have one on the way and was wondering if anyone had any images to share shot with the lens. I've pretty much seen the Pbase, Flickr, and older stuff so anything new would be much appreciated.

I've used the lens a few times on my 5D and like it a lot. Very sharp.

You can also go to my Flickr and search 90/2.5 and you can find a few more of the same types of photos.

Thanks mcmill.
Is that shot past 1:2 with a converter?

Thanks mcmill.

No, matsu131, the shot was made right about 1:2.5. You are on to it though. In DPP I put the image at 50% and took a screen shot, which I later converted to JPG and downsized a little for the web. This gives the illusion that the shot was made at about 1:1. To go down to about 1:1, I use a Nikon PN-11 tube with a Canon adaptor, rather than a converter, as the tube won't degrade the image.

Thanks Mike.

I think I'll give the tube a try.

Is the Tamron SP 90/2.5 worth much these days? I have one with a Minolta Adaptall mount and, since I have a Canon 40D, it goes unused.

calvin: It goes for around 100 EUR or a little more. You can also get an Adaptall-EF adapter for 20 EUR.

Here's another one from that lens:

Thanks for that info Max. I will look into an Adaptall-EF adaptor.

Great bokeh in that shot, by the way.

If you have any EOS adapters for certain mounts, you can also get an Adaptall for that mount. I use OM Adaptalls.

I have a tough time remembering which photos I took with the Series 1 90/2.5 or the Tamron SP 90/2.5, but here's one with the Tamron.

Quite a nice lens overall. I don't have much from mine simply bcause I've been mostly shooting 50mm and wider of late.

My Tamron arrived and I will say I'm impressed by it's performance. It's not the prettiest lens, but is one of the sharpest I've tried.

Has anyone tried a PK-13 with it?

Great images, Patrick, but EXIF on all of them says 50mm f2. I would expect no focal length/aperture data with the legacy lenses.

Generic AF-confirm chip I am guessing.

Ah, ok. On newer Oly cams you can 'dial-in' the focal length of the legacy lens you're using to activate the in-cam IS.
