Very subtle light ! Love the bannana moon up there Hugh.
Thanks Steve, it was a race for the moon to be low enough to get in the composition while there was still color for the background. Glad you enjoyed this result.

Lovely! The delicacy of the dune grasses complements the soft colors of the sky and gives it a serenity that makes you want to linger there.
Thanks Lee, I've been working with the flora of the dune areas for a while now, trying to get it right. Glad you enjoyed this result.
Very nice image, Hugh. The colors and the elements in this one really work well together. I agree with some of the comments about the moon being a bit close to the edge, but that hardly takes anything away from this fine image. Nice work.

Don't know how you always seem to capture those amazing colors, Hugh. Beautifully done.
Cheers,

Hi Ed, I know I PMed a reply, but since others bumped this, I didn't want anyone to think I didn't appreciate your kind compliments . "Finding" color is mostly a matter of being where it might obtain often enough to catch it In this case, Jose' gets most of the credit. The trip was his idea and he had researched potential shooting locations. After that, luck takes over. Glad you enjoyed the result.

Hello Daniel, thanks for the very kind compliments. I hope we can agree to disagree about the moon, but, in any event, I'm very pleased you mostly enjoyed the image. We had a very productive road trip

You are stil the master of the art of less is more school. the coulour is fantastic and the minimal amount of beach really grounds the image.
one of your best!

Thanks Rob, it's in the nature of beach images looking toward the water that there are limited compositional elements available. And, early and late, unless there is weather to generate clouds, the fewer elements the better to leverage the smooth color gradients. In any event, glad you enjoyed this one - it is on the short list to be printed on canvas.
