So I've seen this in a couple of posts.

I'm looking to get a few new lenses and there seems to be rumors about Nikon lens rebates in the near future.

Anyone have something more concrete?

We haven't seen mail in rebates in a few years. It does make sense that they raise their prices 20%, wait a year or so and then start with mail in rebates, where they know the majority won't be claimed for various reasons. I'm still not holding my breath on the rebates though.

The don't have enough lenses in retail to have a rebate program. As soon as they hit the stores they sell.
