I find spider webs quite fascinating and a great example of a nature pattern. Unfortunately it is too cold for new ones here, so this one is a bit old but still very nice. Comments and critiques are much appreciated.
I find spider webs incredibly hard to capture, because usually the background is much closer and distracts from the picture. Add to that their rarity at this time of year (at least in our climate), and yours is truly an amazing find. I do wish the background was a tad darker to bring out the web more. The composition is great.
Thanks for the kind words. I wish the background was a tad darker too, but this was the best I could do and the image starts to fall apart if I darken it more in post. I think our entries go well together this week.
I tried it again and I was able to darken the background with a simple levels adjustment. I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier. Thanks again for the advice.

Classic pattern. I particularly like the fact that it's not too regular in the middle. Great pic.
Happy shooting,
Yakim.
Hi Yakim,
I am glad you liked the composition and this particular web. It took me quite awhile to find one I liked. This time of year there are not many webs left.
The center of the web doesn't work for me personally, but I really like the pattern in the outer half that is shown. The connections are curving much more than in webs that I typically see. As you put it, fascinating.
