p.1 #1 · Banff, anyone?

OK, moving right along here onto day 13, still at Banff, theres a lot to see here and we haven't even headed up to Jasper yet!
1. View across the street from where we were staying of the Bow River early morning
2. Took the scenic route up to Lake Louise, spotted these trees
3. Johnson Canyon Falls

cheers Andrew

4. This is for Zeph, I'm sure he'll recognise the view! No train for us , though, and we didn't have a train timetable with us!
5. & 6. Lake Louise. A spectacular place. I got a similar reaction walking up to this as I did when we visited Crater Lake, Oregon (with snow) last year. Pictures just can't do it justice (mmm, where have I heard that before!). And we when came back in 3 days time it had snowed.........

Beautiful scenes, Andrew. You really mined the area nicely.
I particularly like the 3rd, cool peek-a-boo look at the falls, but I'd suggest a slight contrast boost for a little deeper shadows.

Hey Andrew, you really did well with the Johnston Canyon Falls shot, for those that haven't been there it's hard to shoot because the main falls are behind some rocks. There is also a neat short tunnel on the right that gets one closer but a bit too wet for gear.
Your Morant Curve shot, (named after a canadian photographer), is dramatic even with out a train...
Super shots!

Beautiful set, Andrew.

Man, you keep posting some real nice photos from your trip up here. I really like the canoe shot and the reflection in the first is nicely done. Great set in all.

Keep'em coming!

Lovely shots Andrew, I like them all, especially #4. Beautiful colours and detail in them all. It makes me want to go back.
