I've got a few old school flash speedlites by Nikon that I use for all my off camera flash work...

and I've now broken the hotshoe mount for all of 3 of them and I'm desperately in need of replacements... any suggestion?
ebay seems to have the ones for the SB28 DX but is confusing in that mine has the opposite colored contacts than the replacement part says it should. (Gold vs. Silver) - I'm not a big fan of ebay.... wondering if there's a better source that I can just purchase from.
Nikon no longer supports those models with parts. Get on a lighting forum somewhere and start scrounging for parts. They show up on eBay pretty regularly too. I broke one of my mine last month. Fortunately, the same thunderstorm that blew over my SB-28 onto the concrete highway also drowned and shorted another of my SB-28 (I have, er had, 10 of them.) That made the dead one a great source of parts. I'm sure I'll be needing some more eventually.
