If you buy from Adorama off their ebay site using the Bing.com Microsoft rebate it is $110 cheaper. Price is 2489 less 8% rebate for a net of 2289 for what it is worth. US model, US dealer, the real deal.

i don't know about current 5D2 prices, but i haven't heard much talk about discounts so that sounds like a pretty decent deal (i don't think the Live/Bing stuff was generally too much bigger, but it's not something i really looked into, could be wrong)

Beach has an actual storefront too, small place, around 45 minutes away from me

Adorama has an ebay store as does Beach and many others. You need to go the Bing.com and setup an account, all you will need is a valid email address and give them your name and address. You also need to setup a Paypal account, sounds like a lot but it all takes 4 minutes and once it done it good for all ebay purchases forever. Once the accounts are established you go to Bing.com and do a search for the product you want to buy. As a result of the search it will bring up ebay as one of the potential vendors and show you the discount rebate you will receive, generally 8% or $200 whichever is less. Click on the ebay link and it takes you to ebay, search for the Adorama 5D2 and do a buy it now. There are lots of writeups on the Bing.com site and on the internet, easy as pie unlike my explanation. Used by lots of FM members and Microsoft runs specials where the discounts can be a high as 20% off.
