Hey guys, a couple of weeks ago my wife and I went out to Northshore and a Turtle started to beach up right in front of us These turtles are so amazing and beautiful....
I didn't get to see any sea turtles when I went to the Northshore some years ago... But I did get to see a Cardinal there. So if you go back - keep your eyes open. I was on the location for the TV show "LOST" & there was a Cardinal running around the set on the location. Only realized I had the shot a few months ago.
Oh yah the Cardinals out here in Hawaii look a little different and are very beautiful. I live here so I will try to get some on camera when I get my long lens
They are funny little birds, the other day my wife and I saw one Cardinal messing around with a bunch of chickens and roosters. It was the funniest thing, wish I had my camera..
Mahalo,
Brandon

Thank you Trenchmonkey You are right I was trying to shoot them lower but it was so difficult too as the minute the turtle starting coming ashore a Wild Life Officer immediatley roped the area off and started to make examinations to the turtle. Thanks for the C&C it is much appreciated from a great photographer!

Welcome to finally posting on FM! These are pretty nice captures...would have liked to have seen them shot a bit lower, however.
wonderful captures. Green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) frequently bring themselves upon the beaches in HI to bask...something they typically don't do elsewhere.
I hope to make it out there at some point to catch this sort of action
I guess the Hawaiian Sun is that good huh
Thanks for the welcome Peyton!

Welcome Brandon on the NW forum! Nice to hear your enthusiasm of the Sea Turtles! Wonderful pleasing colors and nice details on these both! Glad you had a chance to see this event and thanks for sharing!
Thanks to all of you guys for such warm welcomes!!! I really did not expect to see such great hospitality!! Thanks again and surely looking foward to my stay here on FM
Aloha, Brandon, great first post! I really like the richness of the first shot. These sea turtles are such great subjects. Looking forward to more of your posts.
