the season has ended, and i will not be under 'the lights' until next year. this was my first season, and i hope that i have come away a little better than i was a the beginning of the season. i went through too many changes of equipment, lighting techniques(using flash), for a first year. i had issues with my camera last week, and did a firmware update. it seemed to have helped as far as focusing better, but i am still going to send it in to canon. please give C&C on these.

You came a long way during the season. It just sucks that once you seem to get narrowed in, the season ends. Just a thought for you... start a journal for all the sports you shoot and write down all that you have learned by trial and error. I have found when you switch from season to season you tend to forget the little things that mean alot when shooting different sports. I am startng basketball now and it has really helped by refering to my journal from last year. Hope this helps.

a journal is a good idea. Heck, after the week i had week before last, any kind of method to refer back to or backups are the way that i need to live from now on. I don't know if you missed me around here week before last, but, my hardrive crashed and i lost everything. i have learned my lesson for sure. i'm still trying to retrieve what i had on my old drive even though i've picked up and installed a new HD, operating system, software, etc...i do our bookeeping out of my home office and really need to get back my records for that. wouldn't you know it waited until november to crash. that really sucks. i have all of the paper records and will have to go back from january i guess. i lost all of my full resolution files of this past seasons football games too.
i have been asked to do the basketball now. i may aggrevate you some in the next few weeks for advice. i am also going to do some seniors pics. i have been telling people 'no', because i have never done that, but i am going to do it. i have put together a package price for now to give them. i will see what happens. i am going to start today and get my feet wet(literally, it looks like rain outside today) with my own senior who's still in bed sleeping. i'm about to go and wake him up. thanks for so much help that you've given me. this place is so full of people so willing to help.
