Another excellent candid street shot with a timelessness to it! Have you considered cropping of the partial body on the far right, Charlie? His hand in his pocket adds to the casual feeling of this, but I think maybe without him you have a stronger image with just the three boys.

Another question - have these all just been stored away all these years or have any of them ever been published? Tis a shame if the former...

Thanks.
You're probably right about the crop- here it is.
About the "stored or published" question, the answer is stored. I was having too much fun doing stuff to play the humiliating game of trying to "get published." Hell, my travels and photographs never even interested my family or friends.

Nice documentary-style image, as always, Charlie. I'll bet there's more detail lurking in the shadows of these faces that could be brought out for all to see.

I like the low angle here, simply because it's different, Charlie.
I also like the framing of the boy's face in the bike rack.

Another couple of nice docu-travel shots!
Did I just make up a word? Docu-travel. Doubtful.

About the lurking shadows- I didn't find them particularly interesting, and to bring them out even a little more made everything else look washed out. Of course, I'm a card-carrying contrast freak

Hi Charlie The crop works a lot better, but if this was taken from the hip you're either 2 foot tall or you were lying down

Or really long-waisted? Nah.
I held the camera with both hands because I wanted a horizontal shot. Hands as low as they would go. 28-90mm zoom, aimed upward (that old lens distorted at 28mm). Got in close and made eye contact, then clicked the shutter- WHAP! One shot only because the mirror flop and shutter noise eliminated the unexpectedness of the moment, which was what I wanted. Good or bad, I almost never posed people in my travel shots.
