Hi Mike,
These are great in B&W something for him to remember his grading by.Hope he passed OK.
Just an observation to me with the portrait orientation your son seems to get a little lost in the frame , perhaps maybe some croping to help this.
I like these a lot. Reminds me of my daughter (4 yo) in ballet, she's just so serious about it, I never have to remind her to put her game face on, she just turns it on once she gets in the dance studio.
My son has only been practicing for three weeks. He has taken to it with a joyful enthusiasm. After seeing him after his first lesson, they could have told me it cost a million dollars a month and I would have tried to find a way. Fortunately, it is much more affordable
His school teaches Shaolin Kempo Karate, mixed with a few other disciplines. Most importantly, they teach respect, discipline, and courtesy!
If the pictures tell the story it seems like he loves it! Make sure he sticks with it through thick and thin, it is an extremely rewarding experience. It's good he's starting out young, I think I was 13 or so when I started. I used to study ryukyu kempo.
