Karl, glad to see you found the Bluebirds! There seems to be a lot of them around now (well a week or two ago).
I vote for #9, #6 and #8 as the best of the bunch (in that order, )
Al
Haven't had a chance to be out Al to see what I had been missing, a stroke of luck finally! Your votes are appreciated and glad to see your selections Thanks buddy, take care...............

Ohhhh my what a sweetie in #6 Karl Great diagonal perch and he chose just the right spot to perch Love this shot buddy!
Yeah those quackers are quick but you stopped the action just fine my friend! Underside view in #1 is a beaut. Last frame preener is a winner and one excellent portrait Starling is looking quite handsome and you have done him proud with beautiful plummage detail and color. Compo in this one is top flight as well
Could you tell I enjoyed the heck out of this set ?
Tom
Shots like #6 don't present themselves often for me Tom, I was excited to get the opportunity to catch the pose
I was happy to get a little of everything thrown to me, the ducks were fun and frustrating at the same time, I wanted better IF's and more but.....................
Thanks on the preener portrait and the kind words on the Starling!

NO greenery.....where is the real Karl?? ! Super shootin' Mr. Karl, great colors, detail and variety, favs are 3, 6 and 9, even with everything a drab brown, you managed to put up a colorful series!
Doug
Used to be greenery Doug Now 'brownery' That works well for the colorful birds doesn't it, love those late season straw warm tones.
Nice of you on the selections, thanks much my friend

Nice set Karl.
I like your rendition of the Mallards in 9 (especially); great light/colors and the fly guy in #1.
Sweet detail, color and BG on the Bluebird in 6. Good to see capturing some birdies again.
JayT
Thanks Jay, sometimes those preening moments are keepers as I have plenty that don't make the cut. Thanks on the fly-over shot. Yep #6 is the culmination of the right subject, light and working the BG to put it all together. I was lucky for this natural perch and that waiting paid off for one to land on it
Take care Jay..........
Karl
Thank God you're back shooting feathers!
I love 1 & 6! very very cool shots
I'mnot goin into full comment 'cause I have like 6 pages of threads to catch up !
I've been out racing the toys all week....hurt my left side again (ribs)!

I second Dan's comments Karl!!! Just fine, SUPER fine detail and processing!!! Dan always speaks so highly of your work and this is a prime example.
The eagles are passing through here, West Point MA, on their way South to Dan's area and I need to get out.
Again OUTSTANDING!!!
Angelo
Geeez Angelo now I am owing you $20 too I appreciate your kind words, I continue to set my goals higher on compositions and processing though the help here on the forum has truly advanced me to areas I would not have accomplished on my own and I will share anything I know, or think I know
Don't miss the Eagles!
Thanks much and take care.........
