Friends organized a killer RockBand party. I decided I'd try my hand at some "rock concert themed" lighting while they played (I played too of course... and suXXers big time )
set up an off camera 580ex2 gelled with a blue gel and gelled my ettl one on camera with a CTO.
Shot my 5D with the 35L and with a modified EF-S 10-22.
haha! WICKED! I gotta hold a Rockband party sometime soon. great captures, love the fake stache on #8, I'm growing my own Ron Burgandy and I could have easily accomplished the same thing like he did ... D'OH!

jdl1527 - ! Fog machine would have gotten us all killed in the movie theatre. Would have been cool though Maybe next time I'll bring along my kids' vicks vaporizer No seriously!
patrick - I'm not sure exactly what you mean by movie-istic colors (though I'm going to take that as a compliment)... I had two flashes, one gelled blue (the one in the corner) the other gelled orange ... that would give a more "complex" lighting taste to the images as they would be cool AND warm. When I processed the images I mostly cooled all of them a little bit, almost totally neutralizing much of the Orange's contribution, but not totally. I then increased contrast somewhat in most of them and used some simple gradients with exposure adjustments to burn some of the backgrounds and guide the eye to the subjects.
