There are those who say "You don't have seasons in Texas."
Our response is: "Yes we do! We're having winter today. It's 45 degrees this morning!"
Seriously, when the weather cooperates, Texas can have some beautiful autumn colors. These photos were taken last year about this time when I visited my brother near Killeen/Ft. Hood. He still lives in the house we grew up in, and we always enjoyed the beautiful autumn colors.
His dining room window is right up against the woods, with lots of birds visiting daily! It's a nature lover's paradise! (They're in the flight cross-pattern for migrations)
I can't get it to accept a larger photo, and I can't get it to accept another the same size as the one just uploaded. Keeps telling me the files are too large. What am I doing wrong? Any smaller and you won't be able to see them...
Actually, the last one was taken right across the road from the first one. The cardinal was taken out my brother's dining room window, about 15 feet from the dining table! There was actually only one red berry, the rest having been devoured by the birds. So I used a little "artistic discretion" and gave the hungry bird more options. Sorry, to those who don't want nature messed with, but since they were originally there, I felt it was ok in this instance.
Actually, Karl, the blurring occurred when I finally got it to load. It is very sharp on my computer. Don't know what its problem was but I kept being told it was too big to load, though it was the same size as the others. As I kept reducing it to get it loaded, it got blurry. Wish I could fix it...
