2. a slice of taughannock. taken at taughannock falls state park. we were up in vermont but got a bit disappointed because the nasty wind blew all the leaves early this year. so we drove back down to the finger lakes area in upstate ny to find this and a couple of other places still with decent foliage.
4. slide. taken at the roaring fork trail in tennessee. an absolutely gorgeous little trail with lots of lovely cascades that could keep you busy for years. too bad we only got to spend about 4 hours here and had to hurry to the airport to go home.
Glad you had a 'Plan B', Binh. Very nice results. I especially like your take on Taughannock. Love that Finger Lakes area. Did you get over to Buttermilk Falls, and Treman?
All very good Binh, of the four, 1 and 3 hold my attention the longest. I might have held back the exposure by 1 or 2/10s of a second just to keep a bit more detail in the white water...
Thanks for the view, hope to get there some day... Especially Watkins glen..
Very nice Binh, a lovely set. I can't say I'd do anything different (at least looking from my work monitor) but I'm glad it wasn't what I half expected from the title, a "fall at the falls".
Very nice set. I like #1, #3. The colors in both are outstanding. In #1 I like the contrast between the density of the left fall and the transparency of the right fall. With all that brightness you still managed a great deal of detail in the rock & wall.
#3 offers a great study in lines. Again a good transition from shadows to highlights and movement offered from the solid horizontal lines in the top rock wall to the flowing lines in teh white water below
Binh... all of them are just awesome... very nice job...
I love #1 a lot because I could spend a lot of time watching the image as it has various layers of falls and eye just keeps moving around it... very nice shutter speed and composition...
#2 is very nicely framed by the foliage... try adding more local contrast on the rocks around the waterfall to make it pop more... very cool though...
#3 again is very nicely done... the small waterfall at the top of the image to the big one... eyes move very nicely in the image... great job!
Great set of images Binh - that first one is almost magical for me with the 2 entirely different waterfalls side by side in a neat setting given the fall context. The other images are quite nice with #3 being next on my list with some great water textures.
