p.1 #1 · Canon 5D Mark II Image Corruption

I'm in the process of developing vacation photos, and I came across two (out of 1200) images that were corrupted.

Taken with 5D Mark II, 16-35II, 1/40 f/11 ISO 400

ETA: Processed with Lightroom 2.5 64bit

Has anyone seen this problem before, and have any insight?

Do you think your CF card may be flawed here?

Most probably a corrupted CF card.

I used to get this a lot with my P&S and it was because I had exceeded the wtite rate and buffer

It could be the card. Thanks everyone for your input.

To prevent further corruption, a good practice is to format the card (do it inside the camera, using the dedicated menu entry)

A better practice would be to throw the card in the trash if it truly was the cause of the problem

I had a corrupted image with an earlier version of Lightroom once... don't know if it was the card, but haven't seen it since. Maybe try DPP?

If it's the card, maybe you could get an RMA from the manufacturer.

i had screwed up images in an old version of photomatix. They were fine in DPP and fine in LR but in photomatix they were just a pink blocky mess.
