Dude's apartment burned down. Lost everything but his computer. insurance lapsed so he's basically screwed. I feel for the lad.

Yeah, I've heard about poor guy! Hope things turn around and get better for him!
As for the files, I upload everything to my smugmug account. They send you a disk with all the photos for a small fee. Also, I have all the files on a hard-dirve at a different location.
