I spent 10 days tis past October in Vermont. 5 days shooting personal work and 5 days leading a group workshop. The weather was challenging to say the least with rain daily and the sun only breaking free a few times on the trip. I made the best of it and shot mostly intimate scenics, streams and macro work. Here are a few of my fav's from the trip.
#1: Moss Glen Falls, Granville Reservation, Vermont
#2 Dawnon Lefferts Pond, Green Mountain National Forest, Vermont
#3 Fall color in the Grotton Woods, Vermont
Beautiful colours and scenes, although I'd like to see a little more contrast in #3, unless it was left as is to show the subdued light due to fog, perhaps?
lovely captures from the northeast, you're lucky, i visited on the second week and the crazy leaves were all gone. my favorite is #3. i like #2 also but it seems purplish in some areas - i'm just curious about it.
I have to agree with the rest--a fantastic set, but when I saw #2, the first thing I thought to myself was, "I wish I was standing there that morning." It looks like a phenomenal place in the north.
Very strong set Joseph. Dig em! Colors look a bit funky on my monitor but may be just me. Really like the framing and comp in 1. Same w/ the misty lake shot. Man I miss new england :-)
Great set Joseph - #2 and #4 are my favorites here. The setting and atmosphere in the second one are very nice. #4 is the best in my mind for the overall color balance, feel for the depth in the scene and the comp. That one looks like it would print the best of the batch here.
