Please don't take this as one of those "too many people on the sidelines" threads. I really don't mean it that way. They have every bit as much right to be there as I do. It's just what stuck with me after shooting nine hours of football on Saturday. The whole day just felt like I was being swallowed by the crowd and becoming unnecessary.........unappreciated. I dunno, it left me needing a pep talk
i had you beat this weekend, there were 190+ credentialed (counting writers, around 130 photogs) for the Florida South Carolina game and you can't shoot in the endzones.
Seems like they would keep most of those people off the sidelines there.
the guy with the tripod is the one that cracks me up. little lens that anyone should be able to handhold and he's all ready to set up the massive support system :P it's those guys you secretly want to see what happens when the play suddenly comes their way.
Thanks smbisig. It was a little disheartening to see all those cameras on the sideline when I was tired and hungry but no so much after a couple nights sleep. I'm feeling much better now

Thanks GO4Long,
I try not to get too hung up on that. They are just some enthusiastic family members trying to get a shot of their little heroes along with some "do it yourselfers" trying to save a buck. I hope they got something they can use
Could be worse just like j.brevard said, it sucks worse when you go to shoot an NCAA game and you know the other 20 PJs are award-winning sports shooters.

Thanks phatnev,
Yes that would be intimidating
This deal is sucking less and less as the post season online sales spike is coming in, but even better, one of the counties called asking for a proposal for their T&I contract. So things are not always as bad as they seem.
